Believe it or not but the orchid is still alive after being taken care of by Linnea.
One flower is gone but two out of three must be considered a really satisfying result.
Well done Linnea and thanks for taking care of the apartment!

on mariahenke's travel map.
It was a very tired couple that arrived in Hong Kong early sunday morning.
We got to the hotel and hoped for an early check in, but no luck so we left our bags and got out on town.
We took a tram for 2.30 HKD each, 1 HKD is about 0.90 SEK so you understand it is very cheap.
The big minus though, that everybody thought it was warm outside, many of the windows in the tram where open, so we where
freezing. It was cloudy all day and about 14-15 degrees.
We got off in Happy Valley and walked our way back to the hotel, no brunch with beer this time, only McDonalds ;-)
Back at the hotel we learned that we´ve been upgraded to a suite.
A very nice room and a bed so high that one had to jump up to the bed.
In the night we took the Tram Peak up to Victoria Peak for some nice views on Hong Kong and Kowlon.

Dinner Pearl at the Peak

After 10 hours sleep in really good beds, we where ready for a new day with a lot of walking.
Botanical garden, check-in at central station and Man Mo temple which was really exciting.
Man Mo Temple
Then we went to Kowloon to go to the market on Temple street.
Maria got some nice things there..
We were happy to find a nice chinese restaurant just in time before the beautyful Symphoni of lights, that is even more
stunning than any photo can show,
so here is a photo that does not show all colours..
symphoni of light
Now we are at the airport and our flight departs at 1.30, the flight is 13 hours, but we travel back in time so we arrive 6.30 in London.
After a few hours there we take the last flight for this time.
Hello Sweden we are soon home again.

Suddenly it´s here, the last day in Australia, the last day in Fremantle.
The last two nights both Barbro and us have been guests in Lis and Maartens house.
So this morning we spent some time together taking photos.
Look at this wonderful pics of my lovely family in Australia!

Suddenly Henke saw a kangaroo in the bushes!!!
can you see the kangaroo
After shooting 20 photos from that place we thought of getting closer, and the
kangaroo still stood there, watching us.

Getting up even closer we saw they where two.

Henke was very proud being the one to spot the kangaroo.
i saw them first
We had lunch at a Mundari Weir hotel that use to have live music on weekends and had a lot of nice spots to sit in there garden.

Before the trip was over we had seen 6 kangaroos so now we have evidence that kangaroos really exist :-)
Now its just about an hour before we go to the airport and want to say to our
wonderful family here in Australia that we love you, and thanks for letting us stay here, for sharing your time with us, take us out to see a lot of things.
